They have a leather upper, Slightly padded breathable Coolmax(R) interior and side opening zip for easy access/removal on the inside of the boot. 
 The rugged outsole provides a good grip ideal for most uniformed work, combat use or tramping or hiking. On the lighter side for boots, these are a good balance of adequate protection combined with mobility & comfort.
